The Singularity

The Singularity is a feature length documentary that explores a possible future that is both exciting and disquieting. Inventor, and head of Google Engineering, Ray Kurzweil, makes the case that rate of technological change is accelerating - as a consequence, humanity is rushing towards a technological singularity, an inflection point of radical and massively disruptive change.

Will humanity be overtaken by its own developments or will we speed to an unseen future together? What of the prospects of artificial intelligence and the rise of intelligent, feeling machines?

Over the course of five years, I worked with filmmaker Doug Wolens to interview people from a wide spectrum of disciplines and intellectual pursuits to help craft this film.
